WHY DO I NEED WINDOW TINT?

Colorado sun is intense; we've all opened a car door and been blasted in the face with extreme heat. Ever put your hands on a steering wheel and immediately remove them because it's unbearable to touch? Ever hate looking around and seeing how many people are just looking at you while you're minding your business? If only we had a solution to address all three!

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY WINDOW TINT?

Caring for your tinted windows is easy if you follow a few simple rules...

1. Wait Before Cleaning: It's advisable to refrain from cleaning windows that have recently been tinted for at least several days to ensure the adhesive sets correctly.

2. Use Mild Cleaning Solutions: To clean tinted windows, use a gentle soap or detergent mixed with water. Refrain from using cleaners that contain ammonia, as they may harm the tint.

3. Soft Materials Only: Use a soft microfiber cloth or a non-abrasive sponge to wipe the tinted surface. Avoid using paper towels, which can be abrasive and may cause scratches.

4. Gentle Wiping Motion: When cleaning use a soft microfiber towel or similar and do not scrub vigorously, as this can damage the tint.

5. Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Avoid using strong chemicals like ammonia, bleach, or abrasive cleaning agents, as they may damage the tint and lead to peeling.

6. Protect Tinted Side: When cleaning the interior of windows, it's crucial to safeguard the tinted side against abrasive materials and sharp objects.

7. Regular Cleaning: It's important to clean the windows regularly to eliminate dirt, dust, and debris. This maintains clear visibility and ensures that the tinted film continues to function properly.

8. Avoid Stickers on Tinted Areas: Do not affix stickers or adhesive materials to the tinted sections, as their removal could harm the tinting film.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CARBON AND CERAMIC TINT?

Ceramic window films offer the most comfortable driving experience by offering its unique design with built in nano particulates blocking heat from entering your vehicle. Sick of burning your hands on the steering wheel? Try this film out for size. Carbon is the industry standard, color stable UV protection only film.

WHAT TINT IS LEGAL IN COLORADO SPRINGS?

Technically 27% is legal in Colorado (For the front 2 windows). You can have any shade on the back windows and rear window, but the fronts should be 35% or lighter to be legal. 70% is legal for your windshield, which is nearly clear. There is no such thing as dark but legal. Most people opt for 20% so they can have some privacy.

HOW LONG DOES TINT LAST?

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INSTALL WINDOW TINT?

Speed depends on experience. We have 2 of the greatest installers in the state of Colorado. Both are able to install a complete coupe in under 2 hours (on most coupes). Inexperienced tinters will take around double that time. This measure of speed is a great indicator for you - the buyer to know the level of expertise you are paying for. The slower they are and the lower the quality of film the cheaper. Stay away form $99 tint jobs unless you do not care how it looks when they are done. We fix these weekly and you'll end up paying significantly more after since we will have to remove it. For most sedans expect 3-4 hours for install.

WHAT IS THE NO FAULT WARRANTY FOR $69?

This warranty encompasses all of life's mishaps, including scratches, nicks, tears, and even the replacement of tint if your window is shattered. With the exclusion of sunroofs or windshields.

DOES WINDOW TINT FADE OVER TIME?

Good quality, professionally installed window tint generally doesn’t fade or bubble. However, cheaper films or improper installation can lead to fading, so it’s important to invest in a high-quality tint.

WHY ARE SOME TINT SHOPS SO EXPENSIVE AND OTHERS SO CHEAP?

Many factors come into play when it comes to pricing window tint jobs. Film brand, shop reputation, experience, installer. Some brands of film charge outrageous amounts of money; some shops charge outlandish prices because they think too highly of themselves.
